Remote Guard Deters Catalytic Converter Theft

Over the years, catalytic converter theft has been on the rise all over America. With most thefts occurring overnight, it can be hard to deter thieves as, usually, no one is around to make sure your company cars and employee cars alike are safe when parked overnight. In the video above, we see a car come into the view of our cameras. As soon as the car is spotted, an alert is sent to Alpha’s command center, and one of our remote guards remotes into the system to assess the situation. Upon remoting in, our guard sees a person get out of his car and begin to crawl underneath the vehicle it has parked next to. Alpha’s remote guard immediately initiates a warning using the two-way talk-down audio included with the system. Our guard lets the thieves know they are being monitored and recorded and need to leave the area. The thief immediately notices the warning and vacates the property as quickly as he arrived.
