NORTH LAS VEGAS (KSNV News3LV) — Three young men are locked up, accused of breaking into a North Las Vegas home.

The men were caught on surveillance cameras at the home near Tropical Way and Commerce Street.

Felicia Delapa took a sigh of relief after North Las Vegas Police arrested three teens who officers believe broke into her home January 22.

Two 18-year-olds, Joe Simms and Joel Cannon, and a 15-year-old whose name and picture police won’t release because he’s a minor, are all behind bars.

“I actually slept that night and the thought of knowing that they were in jail. They couldn’t go into someone else’s home. I don’t have that worry of them coming back into my home,” said Delapa.

The three teens are caught on camera, ransacking the home for 45 minutes. Police say the youngest was armed with a handgun.

“That was so surprising to hear that age. He’s a baby in my eyes,” said Delapa.

Delapa got some of her watches and jewelry back but everything was scratched up.

“The things we recovered are so damaged it’s almost like we didn’t recover anything. I got back a tablet, two tablets, both screens are crushed,” said Delapa.

Detectives were able to track the teens down thanks to the clear surveillance video and tips.
