Security Built Into Every Connection
Encryption in Transit (SSL/TLS & HTTPS)
All access to Alpha Video Surveillance’s web dashboard, customer portal, and remote video viewing is secured over HTTPS and encrypted using TLS 1.2 or higher.
This encryption protects credentials, session data, and video as they travel between users and our systems, helping prevent unauthorized interception or alteration while information is in transit.
Video Traffic Encryption
Live and recorded video is encrypted as it moves between cameras, our recording server, and the applications used to view footage, including during remote access over the internet.
By protecting video throughout transmission, encryption helps preserve the privacy and integrity of your footage and prevents unauthorized viewing or modification while it is in transit.
Encryption at Rest (AES-256)
Recorded footage and configuration data are protected at rest using AES-256 encryption, providing an additional layer of security for information stored within our systems.
In the event that a drive or server is stolen or improperly accessed, encrypted data remains unreadable without the appropriate encryption keys.
Vulnerability Scanning (Connect Secure)
Alpha Video Surveillance conducts regular authenticated vulnerability scans using ConnectSecure across our network, servers, and internet-facing assets.
Each scan generates a severity-ranked report, providing clear visibility into identified vulnerabilities and informing a tracked remediation process that prioritizes and addresses findings by severity.
Protection Beyond the Camera
Our commitment to security extends beyond surveillance itself. Through encrypted connections, protected video transmission, AES-256 encryption, and ongoing vulnerability scanning, Alpha Video Surveillance works to protect the data and technology behind every system.
As security needs continue to evolve, so does our approach. We are currently working toward implementing Intrusion Detection and Penetration Testing to further strengthen our security measures, with additional information to come as these capabilities are implemented.
